Drupal does not have awful SEO.

Met a bloke the other day and got into a discussion about Drupal v’s Joomla.

He said Drupal has really bad SEO.

This statement just isn’t true, and revealed a complete misunderstanding about how Drupal (and most CMS) works.

Drupal has a template system that let’s you control EVERYTHING that is output to the browser.  If I want to control Title tags, Meta data, whatever - I CAN.

The next time someone tells you that a particular CMS is bad for SEO, take a look at the template system.  Most good CMS’s have a template system that you can use to control any aspect of the page.

I’m not suggesting Joomla is worse.  It isn’t. (I think the Joomla community make much better looking sites than the Drupal community).  I just PREFER to work with Drupal because it works the way *I* think.
